To be fair to the average, gen-pop idiot (and I’m not necessarily placing myself above that category of people), far more malicious and damaging are those extremely powerful, sometimes-stupid-sometimes-devious-sometimes-both individuals at the top of our systems and structures. The ones with actual influence. Nevertheless, sometimes the humble grassroots idiot also has a say in things.
