Molly Gordon (The Bear) and Logan Lerman (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) star as an adorably quirky, uh, pairing who sneak away for a romantic weekend together. The catch, alas, is that Lerman’s character, Isaac, says that he’s not actually ready for a relationship, despite taking her on a romantic weekend getaway. In turn, Molly Gordon’s character reacts, perhaps, disproportionately, chaining him to a bed so that she can, uh, convince him that they should be in a serious relationship.
The film comes from director Sophie Brooks, who co-wrote Oh Hi! with Molly Gordon. And if all of this weren’t intriguing enough, it also stars Geraldine Viswanathan and John Reynolds. I even see David Cross and Desmin Borges (You’re the Worst) in the credits. Here’s the trailer.
The film hits theaters on July 25th, and by that, I mean: Probably a handful of screens before becoming available digitally on some streaming platform, where I will watch the hell out of it.
