Now Even John Mulaney Is Making Fun of Bill Belichick

This Bill Belichick story has had a lot more legs than I expected. I assume that’s because sports talk radio has exhausted its Luka Dončić takes, the NFL draft is over, and there’s not much else to discuss. All week, the likes of Megyn Kelly and Dave Portnoy have been piling on the 73-year-old former Patriots coach because his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, is not only 49 years younger, but also appears to have taken over his PR.

During a CBS interview over the weekend, she acted like a controlling publicist, while Belichick seems to have remade his entire personality to better suit her. Even Belichick’s daughter-in-law shaded Hudson, commenting on Instagram, “Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t ‘storm’ off set delaying an interview.” [source]

I think it’s a stretch to suggest Hudson is controlling Belichick like a puppet—or that the University of North Carolina should fire him just because he’s lovestruck—but I do think John Mulaney and Richard Kind are onto something when they joke, in a bit, that Belichick has blown up his brand and alienated his friends to devote himself entirely to his girlfriend.
