Aziz Ansari's Keanu Reeves and Seth Rogen Movie Has a Trailer (But It's Not the Bill Murray Movie)

Recall that Bill Murray was booted from an Aziz Ansari film back in 2023 for inappropriate behavior (he thought it was funny to kiss a woman while wearing a mask; the woman did not). That movie was called Being Mortal, and it starred Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer.

After the Murray allegations, Ansari scrapped Being Mortal and pivoted to a new project: Good Fortune, which—coincidentally or not—also stars Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer. The two films are entirely different, though. Being Mortal was based on Atul Gawande’s book about end-of-life and hospice care. Good Fortune is a high-concept comedy about an inept guardian angel (played by Keanu Reeves) who meddles in the lives of a gig worker (Ansari) and a wealthy venture capitalist (Rogen). Being Mortal was shut down due to Bill Murray. Good Fortune merely had to pause production after Reeves injured his knee.

The cast is lights out. In addition to Reeves, Rogen, Anzari, and Keke Palmer, it also stars Sandra Oh and Sherry Cola. Here’s the first teaser trailer.

Good Fortune arrives in theaters this fall.
