Conan O’Brien Is Here To Debunk Rumors About Taylor Swift’s Wedding

I’ve never been a celebrity wedding person. How people with loads of money and fame use it to celebrate their union is just not interesting to me. Maybe there could be an exception, but that hasn’t presented itself yet. All that said, I’m not immune to headlines, especially when it comes to my beloved New York City, so talk of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift getting married at Madison Square Garden at least made my ears perk up a little bit, because it seemed so insane.

Renting out one of the greatest concert venues in the world is wild enough, but wanting to do so privately because you want a quieter ceremony feels insane and kind of counterproductive. If someone like me knew the wedding was happening there a week or two in advance, then the plan did not work. Or it worked exactly how they wanted. It honestly could go either way. It happened, and I didn’t give it a second thought until it was revealed that Conan O’Brien had attended.

Still, even knowing that Conan was there, I didn’t give much thought to what was going on. But I never anticipated that I would be hearing a hilarious recounting of the event from the man himself. I’ll be up front: If you are here looking to see actual rumors debunked, I think you are in the wrong place. Maybe some of these things were making the rounds, but they all could easily just be hilarious suggestions from the incredible mind of Andy Daly.

Daly is one of the funniest people working. Whether it’s a small role in a show or movie, a podcast appearance, or just a random clip of an improv show appearing on my feed, Andy Daly is always funny, and his last appearance on Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend was side-splittingly funny, as he’s the kind of guest who Conan insists on riffing with the whole time. That happened again this go-round.

For instance, did Taylor really turn the event into a massive game of musical chairs, pausing Paul McCartney mid-performance to remove seats from the floor herself? Were some guests asked to arrive five hours early because they weren’t important enough? Were there mass injuries? These are the important topics being tackled in this bit.

It’s a real pleasure to hear two hilarious people be effortlessly funny, and few people I can think of who excel at it as much as Conan O’Brien and Andy Daly. Is this going to kickstart my interest in celebrity weddings? Oh, heavens no. But it was a pretty great way to start my day.
