Daredevil: Born Again was winning over fans out of the gate, and that intensity only picked up once the series was free to do its own thing and stop being a weird Frankenstein creation that was forced to reuse footage from the show’s previous incarnation. Born Again came in for one hell of a landing, and now, Charlie Cox wouldn’t mind wielding all that fan power for an even more ambitious project: A Daredevil movie.

Cox was asked about the prospect during a recent interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, and he openly admitted that he has no idea what Marvel is planning. However, he fully appreciates the fan efforts that went into bringing back his Matt Murdock, and if they can get a campaign going to land him a full-fledged MCU movie, bring it.

Via GamesRadar:

“The only thing I’ll say is I’m just such a happy camper. I’m so thrilled to be here. I love that I get to tell the story in long-form. Also, because I’m part of the show, like you guys just had the experience, every season, we get to see the first two episodes on the big screen. So I get that experience. It is a shame because, particularly with the pilot, it’s such a cinematic episode,” Cox said. “It feels like it deserves to be seen on the big screen. But, I don’t know. Just write letters, everyone just write letters.”

While Marvel has seemingly turned things around with Thunderbolts, the film side is still not in the greatest shape. Born Again was allowed to do a full creative overhaul and is barreling into a second season with a wave of goodwill at its back. I would not mess with that. I get Charlie’s desire to get the movie treatment, but damn, things are going great on the TV end.

That said, I would not be surprised to see Daredevil pop up in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and do more than just catch a brick. Let the man go swinging with Spidey. — Wait, not like that. Or, no, maybe exactly like that… Get Kevin Feige on the line.
