As Los Angeles burns and Republicans inexplicably and cruelly blame DEI policies for the destruction, over 2,000 structures have been reduced to ashes, including schools and homes spanning the socioeconomic spectrum. Warner Brothers has shut down its lot, pausing production on some of the few remaining shows still filming in Los Angeles, such as Abbott Elementary, The Pitt, and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. Awards ceremonies have been postponed. The co-owner of this site is among the many thousands of Angelenos forced to evacuate in recent days.

He’s fortunate that his home remains intact—for now. Hundreds of others have not been so lucky, including several celebrities. Adam Brody and Leighton Meester have lost their home. John Goodman, Eugene Levy, Billy Crystal, and Mandy Moore have also seen their residences destroyed. James Woods tearfully recounted the loss of his home on CNN, though he still found time to blame “liberal idiots.”

Songwriter Diane Warren and Paris Hilton have lost their beachfront homes. Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag also lost their residence, along with Anthony Hopkins, Miles Teller, Cameron Mathis, and Ricki Lake.

The images are staggering, showing nothing but ash and debris where homes once stood.

This is a devastating time for Los Angeles—a city where people have lost homes, schools, and even favorite restaurants. The entertainment industry will feel the impact. The insurance industry will be overwhelmed. And for thousands, this fire has taken everything.

Our hearts go out to all of our readers who live or have loved ones in the area.
