It’s March already?! When did that happen? Oh, 5 days ago? What the f*ck even is “time” anyway? Sorry I’m getting the streaming guide to you all a little late — but it’s a big month with lots of new releases so let’s take a look!

Highlights


March 8th: Marvel’s Jessica Jones: Season 2 — It’s happening! It’s really happening! Jessica’s back! How is she recovering from her bout of super-heroics in The Defenders? Will she finally learn how she got her powers? And more importantly: why/how is Kilgrave back?! Fun fact: this season every episode is directed by a woman — and check out these nifty pulp illustrations for each episode, created by female artists!



March 23rd: Roxanne Roxanne — Mahershala Ali, Nia Long and newcomer Chanté Adams star in this Sundance selection! Set during the 1980s, it tells the story of a fierce teenage girl who happened to be one of the most feared battle MCs in Queens. Based on the true story of Lolita “Roxanne Shante” Gooden.



March 30th: A Series of Unfortunate Events: Season 2 — Neil Patrick Harris dresses up unconvincingly while bad shit happens to three adorable kids, and fantastic guest stars die? Sold.

Also: Malala herself will be chatting with David Letterman, and Ricky Gervais has a new stand up special that I’m sure will offend plenty of people.

“But What About Hulu and Amazon?”: Hulu will be getting the upcoming Roseanne premiere on March 28th, in case you, uh, miss it? I might check it out. I’m ride or die for John Goodman. They have a bunch of great movies being added this month too, like The Square (March 1st), Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (March 24th) and Takashi Miike’s Blade of the Immortal (March 15th). If you’re into severed limbs, I highly recommend that last one.

Also FYI: Earth Girls Are Easy comes to Amazon AND Hulu on March 1st, in case you need a hit o’ Goldblum in your life. And if you missed Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets the first time around (it’s ok, everyone did), Amazon’s got it as of March 1st as well. If nothing else, it looked pretty…
