Is it just me, or has this week been long as hell? Honestly, even if you told me today was Wednesday I’d be like, “Screw you, I’m still putting out a Friday round-up of trailers because we deserve the distraction.” What I’m saying is: if today isn’t actually Friday, please don’t burst my bubble. Just… let me have this.
So Netflix dropped a whole lotta stuff this week:
GLOW — Season 2 launching on Netflix June 29th, 2018
OK, so technically this is a date announcement, not a trailer. But whatever, it’s a Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling music video for “Maniac” — top THAT, other trailers!
Anon — On Netflix May 4
Clive Owen and Amanda Seyfried star in this tale about a future where technology has eliminated privacy… except for this one assassin, who doesn’t seems to have any visual records. Also, eyeballs get hacked? Directed by Gattaca’s Andrew Niccol.
Candy Jar — On Netflix April 27th
Dueling high school debate champs are forced to work together to succeed, and OBVIOUSLY they’re totally gonna fall in love, right? Ugh, I can feel the hormones and angst from here. I love it. The adults in this one are pretty great too: Christina Hendricks, Uzo Aduba, Helen Hunt, and Tom Bergeron star.
And in non-Netflix news:
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom — June 22, 2018
I don’t really have anything to say about this. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the implications of Cocktail Dino:
Welcome to Parks and T. Rex. @PrattPrattPratt is back for ‘@JurassicWorld: #FallenKingdom,’ the franchise’s darkest installment yet. Get exclusive scoop on the film, plus 68 more summer movies here: https://t.co/YcseGflGmq pic.twitter.com/q5P3xaGsm9

Blindspotting — In Select Cities July 20th
Longtime friends Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal co-wrote and star in this tale, set in a rapidly gentrifying Oakland. It opened at Sundance this year, and though I missed it at SXSW, it’s got the coveted Seth stamp of approval:
I haven’t finished my review of this yet because I’m a slacker, but I’ll take any opportunity to crow about it anyway. Guys. Blindspotting is SO FUCKING GOOD. Keep it in mind for July. https://t.co/lN0N7NJU2a

Hereditary — June 8th
Speaking of stuff the Overlords watched at SXSW, Kristy saw Hereditary and just hearing her talk about it gave me the heebie-jeebies. And then this new trailer just solidified it. Like, I can’t wait to see this movie. But also? I’m not ready.
