Right now, the Northeastern United States is completely bogged down in white bullshit — and also, there’s a blizzard out. (Zing!) But that didn’t stop two ponies on Staten Island from briefly living out their winter wonderland fantasies, because they don’t know anything about healthcare or the dismantling of the executive branch. Such brave and beautiful creatures, these are.

I can’t decide my favorite aspect of this situation. Is it that the ponies are the exact same colors as the infamous llamas that livestreamed their way into our hearts two years ago? Is it that I, as a denizen of Brooklyn, am now aware that I live at least an hour away from real live ponies? Is it that they’re running around in the suburbs, recreating iconic Beatles photo spreads together like best friends do?

Is it their LONG AND LUSTROUS MANES BLOWING FREE IN THE WINTER WIND? (Yes, probably.)

And, unlike the last story about an escaped animal in New York City (goodnight, sweet cow prince! *sobs*), there’s actually a happy ending to this one! Unless you’re scared of the NYPD. Then it’s a little disconcerting.

At least someone, somewhere, had a brief moment of fun this morning.
