I think that the promotional campaign for Guardians of the Galaxy was pretty damned effective here in the states. It certainly had my daughter begging to see the flick, which I was very happy to grant. It worked out well, as we all know, with Guardians becoming the highest grossing movie starring a talking tree, a talking raccoon, two aliens, and a dude with a Walkman.
You may not know that Japan hasn’t even seen the movie yet. It doesn’t open until September 13th there. This means that we get this perfectly insane group of Guardians trailers that focus on Groot and Rocket. The glorious absurdity of the trailers highlight the movie.
