Old School. Biblically Independent.

You can’t really base an entire series on the contents of one 15-second teaser, but I’m sure there’s something you can judge here. For instance, the color palate looks decent. The voice sounds effective, and there’s no silly red costume. Also, I’m not hugely keen on his motivation — “I’m just trying to make my city a better place” — because it seems like it’s the motivation of most superheroes. For once, why can’t they just say they do it to get laid?
The full trailer arrives tomorrow, while the series will debut on Netflix in April. Charlie Cox (Boardwalk Empire) is the lead. The series also stars Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Scott Glenn as Stick, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin Wilson Fisk, and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple/Night Nurse.
