The Hamilton Cast Has a Powerful Message for Boo-Victim Mike Pence

First of all, our #ThoughtsandPrayers to selfie stick proponent Mike Pence, who was a victim of a harsh booing last night. It must be truly wretched to be attacked for you who are and what you believe. We’re sure that was very difficult. I’m making a jerk-off motion right now, in case you’re wondering. Maybe they have a special conversion therapy for people who don’t like booing. That’ll help Mikeypoo assimilate into society better. You know, the bible says booing is between a booer and a bunch of other booers at a Broadway show.

FYI, I thought I was being sillyfunnyhaha writing that but Trump has already called the Great Booening “harassment.”

Our actual cause of death in 2016 will be “killed by irony.”

For what it’s worth, the cast did not boo or disrespect Pence in any way. They called for inclusivity. You know, basic harassment. After the show, as Pence was sneaking out, the cast had a message for him, courtesy of current Aaron Burr, Brandon V. Dixon.

“Thank you for joining us at Hamilton: An American Musical. We are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights. We hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values, and work on behalf of ALL of us. Thank you.”

The message was written just 30 minutes before the show, when the cast and crew learned Pence would be in attendance and got on the phone with Lin-Manuel Miranda and producer Jeffrey Sellers. Pence then sat and watched people of color rap about legacy, led by a gay HIV-positive man.

Like actual decent human beings and not whiny babies crying about being harassed as a result of actually harassing people, Dixon remained positive and wonderful.

“I saw him enjoying it with whoever he was with, and I hope he remembers us. I truly believe we had an affect,” continued Dixon. “It was a message from the producers the creative and the cast. If you have differences, say something! What better place than on this stage telling this story with these people? I hope he thinks of us every time he has to deal with an issue or talk about a bill or present anything.”

And remember next time one of the garbage people on your Facebook feed complains about how sensitive liberals are:

And remember this if you start to feel at all bad for Pence:

And remember this if you had any question of how good conservatives are at protesting things:

And remember this if you’re thinking “WWLMMD?”

And then remember this if you need one more Biden-Barack-BFF meme:
