Maybe she’s secretly speaking on behalf of George R.R. Martin, maybe she’s trying to maintain interest in his fantasy book series, or maybe she’s honestly peeved with the way that Dan Weiss and David Benioff have diverged from the books, but Jane Johnson — Martin’s (overworked) book editor — is not happy with the way HBO is straying from the books, as she tweeted this week:

This is more evidence supporting the fact that there’s an awkward battle brewing behind the scenes of Game of Thrones between Weiss and Benioff on one side, and HBO/Martin on the other, and huge dollar signs in the middle.
