'Game of Thrones': What Was the Rumor To Which Cersei Was Referring?

As always, more on tonight’s Game of Thrones episode, “No One,” tomorrow morning and throughout the week. However, we can quickly refer to Twitter to gut check the one question that was on everyone’s mind after King Tommen outlawed Trials by Combat: What was the rumor to which Cersei was referring when speaking to Qyburn?

As Genevieve has often suggested here, that rumor may be referring to wildfire, the green liquid Cersei used against Stannis Baratheon in the Battle of Blackwater back in season two. There very well may be some of that wildfire remaining, and Bran Stark did have visions of it earlier in the season. Many on Twitter are suggesting that Cersei may say f*ck it, and burn down King’s Landing to spite both her son and the High Septon.

Bring on the green fire, folks. But first, the Battle of the Bastards arrives next week.
