I think this goes without saying by now, but Game of Thrones spoilers lie ahead for anyone who isn’t caught up to the end of Season 4.

In an interview with MTV UK for Dracula Untold, Charles Dance was asked about his role as Tywin Lannister. Then he was asked if he missed shooting the next season and he chuckled a bit and said “You haven’t seen the last of Tywin Lannister” and refused to say any more. Video is below.

There’s two ways to read this: one is that he’s referring to Tywin’s infamous funeral from the books and he’ll be showing up again as a rapidly decomposing corpse which is not particularly fun unless the props and makeup department are feeling really vindictive. The second way, and the one I’m hoping for, is that he’ll be showing up in flashbacks that either relate to his work as Aerys’s hand (less likely) or that illustrate just how much of a shit he was to his kids (more likely). Either way, I think most fans will be happy to see more of him. Dance’s portrayal of Tywin Lannister was phenomenal and more of him is never a bad thing. Unless you’re Tyrion.
