The trailer for long, long, long-awaited Bill and Ted sequel has arrived, and this moment never would have arrived had it not been for … Steven Soderbergh? Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are back, and Bill and Ted are still trying to write the song that will unite the world. They decide to head to the future to steal that song from their future selves.
The movie also stars Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine as the daughters of Bill and Ted, Kid Cudi, Holland Taylor, William Sadler, and Beck Bennett, and comes from director Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest). The trailer looks … well, it looks like a Bill & Ted movie, plus 31 years. Take from that what you will. I’m excited to see it, Keanu’s lack of facial hair notwithstanding.

If all goes well, we should be able to check it out in theaters on August 21, 2020.
