Antonio Campos (indies Simon Killer, Christine) has a new features called The Devil All the Time coming to Netflix on September 26th. It’s based on Donald Ray Pollock’s Southern gothic novel of the same name, and stars Robert Pattison, Tom Holland, Jason Clarke, Riley Keough, Sebastian Stan, Eliza Scanlan, Bill Skarsgård, and Mia Wasikowska, which is an insane cast. Set “in Knockemstiff, Ohio and its neighboring backwoods, sinister characters — an unholy preacher (Pattinson), twisted couple, and crooked sheriff — converge around young Arvin Russell (Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family.”

While new content is dwindling elsewhere, Netflix seems to have a never-ending pipeline, which may allow the streamer to dominate awards season this year, with The Devil All The Time, Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7, and Charlie Kaufman’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things. Those three movies are just in September, which suggests that Netflix has some even better offerings awaiting us in the year’s fourth quarter.
