At this point, I think it’s safe to say that Patrick Wilson is a subject matter expert in horror movies about malevolent entities. It makes sense that his first foray into directing is the next chapter in the Insidious franchise.

The rest of the original cast, Ty Simpkins, Rose Byrne, and Andrew Astor, join Wilson in this sequel along with Sinclair Daniel and Hiam Abbass.

Here’s the synopsis from the film’s website:

In Insidious: The Red Door, the horror franchise’s original cast returns for the final chapter of the Lambert family’s terrifying saga. To put their demons to rest once and for all, Josh (Patrick Wilson) and a college-aged Dalton (Ty Simpkins) must go deeper into The Further than ever before, facing their family’s dark past and a host of new and more horrifying terrors that lurk behind the red door.

Insidious:The Red Door opens in theaters on July 7th.

If that isn’t scary enough for you, a new trailer for The Boogeyman also dropped yesterday.

The Boogeyman stars Chris Messina (Birds Of Prey), Vivien Lyra Blair (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets), Marin Ireland (Umbrella Academy) and David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad) and it opens in theaters on June 2nd.
