Everyone’s favorite Dad-Bod Sheriff and least favorite (?) Hellboy, David Harbour, is taking on another iconic character in a red suit this winter in Violent Night.
87North, the production company on this one, is also responsible for some of the better action movies of recent years: Nobody, John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Bullet Train and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. So strap in for some very festive ultra-violence served with Santa’s plate of cookies this Christmas.
Violent Night also stars John Leguizamo, Cam Gigandet (Without Remorse), Alex Hassell (Cowboy Bebop), Alexis Louder (The Tomorrow War), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones) and Beverly D’Angelo. The script was written by Pat Casey & Josh Miller, who also wrote Sonic The Hedgehog, which explains all of the deliciously punny catch phrases.
Directed by Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Dead Snow) Violent Night opens only in theaters on December 2nd. Which means I know what I’m going to go see for my birthday!
