Jessica Chastain Does It All, Don't She?

I’ll say this for Jessica Chastain: She has a lot of range, and she rarely plays the same type of character twice. She does space films (The Martian, Interstellar), she did 60’s housewife in The Help, she does horror in IT: Chapter 2, Tammy Fay Baker in The Eyes of Tammy Faye and Tammy Wynette in George & Tammy. She does Sorkin (Molly’s Game), she does action-drama (Zero Dark Thirty), and she even does insane horror villain — and a totally different kind of housewife — in this weekend’s The Other Mommy.

And now? How about washed-up country singer searching for her missing niece? She’s got the accent. She’s got the hat. She’s got a gun. And she’s on a mission.

Here’s the trailer for Netflix’s Heartland.

Heartland streams on Netflix on November 13th.
