Jennifer Lopez may make middling, uninspired movies these days (don’t @ me unless you’ve seen The Boy Next Door in which case you’re right, she makes downright terrible movies these days) but she’s not checking behind her for any-damn-body when it comes to couture. As if to prove my point exactly, JLo came to the New York premiere of her latest movie, Second Act, in a jaw-dropping hot pink frock with more than enough volume to keep the bad reviews at bay (57% of Rotten Tomatoes).

JLo stepped out wearing a Giambattista Valli couture gown that might look like a saggy old shower loofah from the 99 Cent Store on anybody else, but on JLo, was pink confectionery perfection.

Do you think she had her assistant send out a memo to the press letting them know that all reporters must wear black or else GTFO? Because it kind of looks like she did. Or maybe all other colors react to this particular shade of pink by self-muting.

I mean, look at the size of the thing! That is definitely a freight train and not some little 10-car Amtrak. Cars will be waiting at the JLo crossing for quite sometime, and one fool is probably gonna start worrying he’s about to run out of gas. Priyanka Chopra is probably seething right now.

If you’re wondering how she got there, the answer is not that she jumped from a helicopter using her dress as a parachute, even though that would have been the most iconic way. She’s not Tom Cruise, you guys! She got there the old fashioned way, in a limo-zeen.

Here are a few more shots of what will be known as “that pink dress JLo wore to a movie premiere in December 2018”. Nobody will remember the movie a year from now, but that dress is going down in the annuls of history (at least as it pertains to JLo’s most memorable looks, 2000 - 2018).
