Jamie Lee Curtis will return to her most iconic role with Halloween, a(nother) sequel to John Carpenter’s classic slasher. But this one’s got cinephiles cautiously optimistic, as this Halloween is being directed by indie auteur David Gordon Green (All The Real Girls, Prince Avalanche, Joe) and penned by Green and Danny McBride.
Last fall, Blumhouse announced the film’s release date with a teaser image . But now Curtis is unveiling Laurie Strode’s updated look for 2018.
First shot! First day. Same slate. Same Laurie. David Gordon Green directing from his script. Happy Halloween 2018 everyone. See you 10/19/18 @halloweenmovie #HalloweenMovie pic.twitter.com/iSC7NOblEA

What do you think? Does this Laurie Strode look up to the task of putting Michael Myers down once and for all? Does she look like she’d have a daughter played by Judy Greer? (Because she does!) Do you think she’s REALLY into yogurt that’ll make her poop? Sound off in comments.
Halloween will hit theaters October 19th.
