Summer movie season is taking shape as two tentpoles set up stake in July. Disney is bringing out Black Widow, while WB is rolling out Space Jam: A New Legacy. So, both toasted the Easter holiday with shiny new trailers. Then, the Looney Tunes doubled down with a follow-up that had fans searching for Easter Eggs.
Black Widow: Coming to theaters and Disney+ on July 9.
Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh and David Harbour star in the long, long, LONG awaited Black Widow spinoff/prequel. This first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is directed by Cate Shortland and promises to deal with “the darker parts” of Black Wid’s ledger.
Space Jam: A New Legacy: Coming to theaters and streaming on HBO Max on July 16.
NBA champ LeBron James is teaming with the Looney Tunes crew for a sequel to the 1996 live-action/cartoon comedy that still feels like a fever dream. Since Bugs Bunny is a rascally rabbit, he’s teased an Easter Egg hunt in the following trailer.
