I was listening to the NYTimes The Daily Podcast this morning, and they talked about how the Reagan Administration (and much of the general public) didn’t pay much attention to HIV until Rock Hudson acquired it, and that’s when the public really took notice. The podcast suggested that what the Coronavirus really needs is a face that the public can attach to it. I think that was Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson last night, because all of a sudden, sh*t got real, and more movies are starting to be delayed, in some cases for a very long time.
We’re going to keep a running list of those delays here on this post, at least until theaters just go ahead and shut down:
Fast and Furious 9: Delayed until 2021
The James Bond film, No Time To Die: Delayed until November
A Quiet Place 2: No new date set
The Lovebirds starring Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae: No new date set.
Mulan: No new date set
New Mutants: No new date set.
Antlers: No new date set.
The Truth: March 20 to June 2020.
