There’s probably going to be a lot of things written on this site in the coming weeks where readers are going to be like, “What the hell? There’s a global pandemic sweeping the planet, and you’re talking about Ben Affleck’s love life? Get some perspective!”

I get that. That’s going to be a natural reaction for some people, but I will say this: In the coming weeks, where it concerns the love life of Ben Affleck, we will leave no stone unturned.

However, the next couple of months are probably going to be very hard for many of you and many of us. A lot of you will be working from home, many of you with your kids, home from school. Many of you may contract the Coronavirus. Some of you may have parents who fall ill. It’s a very scary time.

During that time, we’re going to continue to collect and curate relevant information about the Coronavirus, how it affects politics and the November election, what it’s doing to the production and distribution of films and television, and yes: We’ll talk about Ben Affleck’s love life if there’s something to talk about. With people stuck in their homes, I also expect that we’ll be watching a lot of movies and television, and I hope that we can help you select what to watch, or at least provide a place to talk about what you’re watching.

I hope that we can remain a constant of some sort during a tumultuous time. Sometimes, it might feel very silly to talk about Riverdale during a pandemic. But sometimes, there might be comfort in that. Also, yelling about the President’s incompetence right now won’t do any of us any good but it might make us feel better to vent. I might bring back Trumpdates, but for Coronavirus. Also, not that we need to tell you this, but if the Coronavirus/politics posts give you anxiety, check out. If the Riverdale and Manifests posts give you anxiety, you can check out of those, too (Ha! Like anyone reads those!).

The movies and shows that you’ll be watching in the coming weeks will probably be mostly at home, because I expect Hollywood is going to end up postponing a lot of the bigger movies, while hopefully creatively making some of the smaller theatrical releases available to rent and watch at home (I really want to see The Hunt for instance, and I would pay movie ticket prices to watch that at home).

Speaking of which, John Krasinski announced that A Quiet Place 2 will join the next Bond film as the first two movies to have their release dates pushed over the Coronavirus.

Two very quick recommendations if you’re already at home: Now is a good time to start Devs (Roxana will have a review up soon) and Dispatches from Elsewhere on AMC. Westworld is gonna be back on Sunday, too. We’re gonna spend a lot of pajama time together in the next couple of months, y’all. I wish that weren’t thee case, but I’m happy to be virtually spending it with you.
