In response to Rowles’ Defense of James Franco’s Oscar hosting duties, Schmerpes seemed all too willing to forgive the Oscar-nominated star of 127 Hours for his lackadaisical approach, but there is a line, he noted in reference to the In Memoriam segment: “I can forgive a lot of people for a lot of things, but Celine Dion re-killing the dead is not one of them.”
