Yesterday we saw an interesting new shot of Jared Leto as Suicide Squad’s “scary” (if you’re talking about his wardrobe choices) Joker as depicted on Empire’s cover. We’re hearing a lot about how completely bonkers the Joker and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) will be, but we haven’t seen or read much about Cara Delevingne’s June Moone aka Enchantress. There were a couple of quick glimpses of the character in the first trailer, and you can’t see much of her “costume” in this group shot director David Ayer shared,

but this new Enchantress cover photo is much more uh, revealing.

In a snippet from the actress, she describes her dual characters thusly:

“She’s an ancient sorceress. A feral being. She’s been trapped for so long and now she’s finally let out. June is an adventure-seeker who’s always wanted some excitement. And she gets what she wished for, in an terrible way.”

Delevingne says she listened to music to help make the switch between Moone and Enchantress, specifically Nick Cave’s Red Right Hand (aka the Peaky Blinders theme song), and “a lot of Megadeth. Just evil stuff.”

As I stated yesterday, I’m not a reader of this particular series, so please pardon me if that cover really nailed Enchantress’ look. But, the first thing I thought of was:

though Delevingne’s wearing a helluva lot less, and I’m not sure that’s a good thing. Yeah, I get that she’s gorgeous and “making her own rules,” but does updating her costume have to equate to a leather and chainmail bikini? Oh wait, I get it. That must make her SUPER SCARY.
