You might be perplexed why '80s sitcom star Scott Baio is trending. It's not his birthday and he's not dead. However, he is suffering third-degree burns, courtesy of comedian Wanda Sykes. Here's what went down.
It began with Joe Biden, who earned criticism for an interview with radio-host Charlamagne, in which the Democratic frontrunner said, "If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black."
On March 22, Sykes defended Biden with this tweet:
Biden feels at home speaking to the Black community. He made a joke. Comedy ain't easy, but he didn't say 2 go shoot Clorox in our tits. Now, I wouldn't make a blanket statement to say that voting for Trump means you're not Black. I would say that it means you're not smart.

From there, the Trump-stumping has-been from (checks notes) Joanie Loves Chachi tried to slam Sykes by drawing a comparison between Biden's comment and Roseanne's racist remarks.
Hey @iamwandasykes why is it okay for @JoeBiden to say something clearly racist but @therealroseanne gets kicked off of her own show that YOU are a writer on, for making a mistake? Is it because you're a full of shit, hack liberal?

It took Sykes five days to respond. Perhaps because she--like us--forgot Baio exists. Her reply was worth the wait and absolutely scorching:
