Scott Baio’s Wife Defends the Size of Baio’s Penis After Bizarre Fight Over Erin Moran's Death Escalates Because 2017
It’s Friday. OMG. I didn’t really believe Friday was going to get here. I thought maybe it was a myth.
I’m in an oddly melancholic mood today and everything is making me slightly weepy. I think I’m maybe burnt out on all the high drama of the Trump administration as well as the high drama of the cat situation in my home. I’ve had a guest cat for the past 4 months. She will be going home this weekend. She’s a good girl, but it’s time to reduce the cat population in my house. Three cats is one too many cats for us. We do better with just the two.
Anyway, all that to say, you might want to have tissues on hand for a couple of these links and you’re going to want to have an entire BOX of tissues on hand for one in particular. I’ll warn you, don’t worry!
Here’s the only Trump news that made me smile this week. God, that man and his entire team are just bumbling idiots. - (Upworthy)
2016 was sad. 2017 is absurd. To wit: After the unfortunate death of Scott Baio’s Happy Days co-star, Erin Moran, Baio suggested it probably had to do with drugs and alcohol. In fact, it was cancer. Erin Moran’s brother, Tony, called out Baio and in doing so, revealed that Erin had told him that Baio had a tiny penis. Scott Baio’s wife then called Tony to defend said size of Baio’s penis. See? 2017. (Daily Beast)
AbbySaurus sent me this and I laughed like an idiot! It seems even lady dragonflies have to sometimes evade unwanted attention from male dragonflies and they have a very creative and dramatic way of doing so! - (New Scientist)
Oooh, new Easter eggs and X-Files callbacks for Better Call Saul - (Uproxx)
I didn’t know about WE Day until I read this, but I think it’s such a great experience for those who choose to participate! - (Lainey)
I also started rewatching ER on PoP and there’s an episode with a young Bradley Whitford that has always stuck with me for the range of emotions I felt while watching it 20-odd years ago. Rewatching was just as I remembered it and I think it will forever be seared into my memory. - (GFY)
Tamora Pierce’s Tortall books are well known YA fantasy books. Crystalclear, discovered an audio version of The Immortals Quartet, narrated by the author, with actors giving voice to the characters. Pierce’s narration is a bit stiff, but crystalclear says the actors more than make up for it. Have you read this series, or other Tortall books? (Cannonball Read 9)
Two pen-pals finally met. I know, that doesn’t sound like a big deal in today’s world, but these pen-pals wrote actual LETTERS on PAPER and MAILED them for 42 years! And they’re not, like, 99-years-old or something. They’re only 54 and 56. So, do some quick math and you see they’ve been writing to each other since they were teenagers. It’s nice! - (Yahoo)
Lainey, (not THIS Lainey, unfortunately) will be seeing Hamilton this weekend. GOOD FOR HER. THAT’S GREAT. HOW NICE. Ahem, sorry. I’m not bitter at all. (I’m soooooo bitter!) And speaking of Hamilton, Leslie Odom Jr. and his wife had a little baby girl. Awwww! - (LG)
Willie Ortiz is a cat saint! A CAT SAINT! Ok, the tissues should be on stand-by now. - (Dlisted)
I’ve mentioned before that my mother died when I was young. My husband’s father died when he was a young boy, so for both of us, holidays and school activities centered around parents was always difficult to navigate as kids. Emmy Rossum talks about how growing up without a dad affected her. - (Celebitchy)
(Keep tissues nearby) Rick Steeves of the Travel Channel has been quietly investing in real estate and renting/giving people places to live for many years. Now he’s donated an entire apartment complex to the YWCA for homeless women and children! - (Good News Network)
(Ok, listen to me. I’m telling you this honestly and truly - don’t read this at work. You will cry and it will not be a pretty, slow tear rolling down your cheek cry, it will be a snotty, red faced, puffy eyes cry. I’m warning you.) ESPN NBA writer Royce Young and his wife were expecting a baby. Unfortunately, they learned terrible news about the baby they were planning for. However, Royce and his wife Keri dealt with the news and coped as best as they could. Their story is beautiful, heartbreaking, amazingly generous, and just so very emotionally compelling - (Medium)
