Who's Afraid of the Unretouched Woman?

Yesterday, unretouched photos from Beyoncé’s L’Oreal shoot leaked. Immediately, everyone went nuts. The Beygency turned on itself, attacking the Beyoncé fansite that posted the photos in the first place, crying “PHOTOSHOP! SOMEONE MUTILATED HER FACE TO RUIN HER” (even reporting this to the FBI, which is hilarious) while others chose to mock the totally normal face of an attractive human.

These are the photos (since pulled by the Beyoncé World website). Warning: you are about to see a human woman’s unretouched face in close-up with heavy makeup on. Please. Try to maintain your composure.

I’ll wait while you pick yourself up off the floor.

These are just a couple of the reactions to these photos.

I’ll wait while you pick yourself up off the floor again because of how shocked you are that people on Twitter are the worst.

This comes hot on the cheeks of paparazzi photos of Iggy Azalea on vacation. Azalea, who is often praised for her bodacious behind, was immediately vilified for having that bodacious behind. Because asses like that don’t come without cellulite and she should be ashamed for that.

Azalea has now left Twitter.

Everyone is terrible and everything is the worst. “Real women have curves” but god forbid those curves contain the slightest hint of ripple. “Women, love yourself and be natural” but only if you’re “naturally” perfect. “Makeup is a lie” but what’s underneath it is disgusting. There is not a single possible way to fucking win. Ever. Not even for Beyoncé.
