Former SNL-er Rob Schneider has made his living playing moronic characters; turns out they weren’t exactly a stretch for the actor. A longtime vaccination critic, Schneider once tweeted:
“Today California passed a law to force parents to get a Doc’s permission to not vaccinate their kids or they can’t attend school! Nazi’s.”
And then there’s this gem:
“The efficacy of these shots have not been proven…And the toxicity of these things — we’re having more and more side effects. We’re having more and more autism.”
Hey, is Jenny McCarthy still single?
Anyway, State Farm insurance recently hired Schneider to do his “Richmeister” schtick for an advertisement, but they quickly learned the public has no tolerance for idiots. Activists advised consumers to let the insurance company know that “Someone who publicly states dangerous opinions should not be a spokesperson for a health insurance company.” An anti-Schneider campaign was waged:
And viola, State Farm dropped Schneider like the dumb potato he is.
If you can stomach it, here’s 2012 video of Schneider going off about government mandated vaccinations:
