Comedian, actor, father, husband, and all-around good dude Patton Oswalt is quite active on Twitter. As most people know, he is politically liberal and posts frequent jokes about Tr**p, re-tweets politicians he agrees with, and gets into it with those who don’t share his worldview.
Today, a user @MichaelBeatty went after Oswalt.

It wasn’t a particularly deep cut or competent comeback, but Oswalt jokingly jabbed back before perusing Beatty’s Twitter timeline. Among the rubble of “owning the libs” and other MAGA speak, Oswalt found that Beatty had a GoFundMe set up to cover medical costs. Instead of leaving it there, Oswalt did this:

The GoFundMe raised (as of this writing) over $9,000 more than its $5,000 goal. In a thank you Tweet, Beatty promises to also help his cousin with the extra money.

Furthermore, Beatty deleted a rude comment he made to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, apparently mocking her for wanting to provide healthcare to people like him.
This is so right but I can't help this petty feeling of anger. Reading him mock AOC when she wants to make it so people like him are never in the situation of having to beg because of health problems. Why do folks fight against their own health and security?

Here’s hoping that Beatty and some of his like-minded family members step back from the constant noise and think more about how the people they vote for continually hurt them in the long run. At the very least, perhaps Beatty will realize that things are always better when Americans have each other’s backs instead of depending on a specific political party to do right by them.
