Luke Perry, best known for playing the role of Dylan in Beverly Hills 90210 for ten season, has died. The actor, who has more recently starred as Archie’s father Fred in Riverdale, never recovered from the massive stroke he suffered last week. He died today surrounded by his fiancée and children.

Perry has had a long and successful career in movies like 8 Seconds and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as steady television work since his stint on 90210 in shows like Community and The Simpsons.
He also seemed like a really good guy, a rarity in Hollywood.
I didn’t know Luke Perry personally but every time I saw him in a restaurant he would stop and make silly faces with a random baby. Every single time. Rest In Peace.

The last time I saw Luke Perry he asked me if I wanted to smooch his brand-new puppy Daisy. I did and I did and I'll always remember him that way.

The first time I met Luke Perry we talked about what kind of movie we wanted “Buffy” to be. I asked if he’d ever seen “Near Dark” and he gave me a look of HOW DARE YOU SIR and I knew we’d get along. Funny, committed, and always gracious. He shouldn’t be gone.
