Looks Like T.I.’s Daughter Agrees He Sucks

Well, it was a banner week for garbage-men who garbaged. By that I mean, Trump is still president, and T.I. proudly went on a podcast and told the world he violates his daughter’s privacy by going to her gynecological appointments and doing a hymen check.

The good news is—T.I. was (almost—never under estimate how much some men hate women) universally trashed for this, and his daughter Deyjah is thankful that everyone sees it the correct way.

Per Buzzfeed, she took to Twitter to express her thanks (and like some “WTF T.I. you sh*t-heel Tweets.”)

I’m surprised at her restraint. Had my own father pulled this stunt on me at 18, I’m sure I would have said some things that would have escalated the situation further (much further) although I hope that she has a good circle of friends she can really tear into her dad with, off-line. That dude deserves it.

She did, however, get her point across with her Likes on Twitter, which were widely reported on yesterday, and still remain up, so she liked what she liked, do you understand that T.I.?

If you’re wondering if T.I. has backtracked his comments, publicly apologized to his daughter, or made any attempt to make this right and own his bulls*it you’re going to be disappointed here, friends. He’s currently on vacation in Mexico with his wife, Tiny, and some members of their family, and hasn’t said a damn thing about this entire situation.

The podcast hosts, however, have apologized for letting T.I. talk about his daughter’s body and have issued a statement, so hey—at least the trend of women apologizing for men’s s*itty behavior continues.

Per All HipHop:

To everyone confused, angry and hurt by the recent episode of Ladies Like Us, we want to start off by saying that we sincerely apologize for our knee jerk reaction to the uncomfortable topic.

We were completely caught off guard/shocked and looking back, we should have reacted much differently in the moment.

The comments that were made and the reaction that followed are not in any way a reflection of our personal views on the topic. We support and love Women and feel that their bodies are theirs to do as they wish.

Should the hosts have laughed along with him? No, absolutely not. However, let’s not ignore the power imbalance between T.I., an extremely famous rapper who also co-stars in a damn Marvel franchise (Ant Man), and two female podcasters who rely on a steady stream of guests in order to work. Word gets out you treated T.I. poorly by calling him out on his bulls*it (sh*tty people always have very fragile egos, after all) what happens to your livelihood, then?

The point is—the people who are the least culpable in this situation have acknowledged it was f*cked up to begin with and apologized. I’m not one who usually clamors for a public apology from anyone, but in this case, it seems only appropriate. This jackass told the world his daughter’s private business and now he needs to tell the world that A) it’s literally none of ours, including his, business; and B) he’s sorry he ever brought it up in the first place and it was a gross violation of his adult daughter’s privacy; and C) he now understands, implicitly, that he had no business insisting that he attend his daughter’s gynecological appointments, unasked and unwelcomed.

Not going to hold my breath, though. The type of father who feels entitled to know the status of his daughter’s hymen is probably not the type of father to realize that he’s a f*cking as*hole and needs to be better.
