Body of work, people; just quitcher crying over Leo’s big win. At least he has that body of work to show for it, unlike some people (*coughJuliaRobertscough*). If you’re looking for slights at the Oscars, they’re always there (*coughGeorgeMillercough*).

The truly important thing is that Kate was with Leo when he won — just as he was for her 2008 win — and that’s all any of us really needed. Because without Kate Leo can be insufferable, but with Kate, he becomes palatable…even adorable. Behold La Winslet’s superpower, and WITNESS HER.

Just look at her reaction when Kate sees Leo arrive. That in itself instantly defrosts Leo; once he sees her, his whole countenance changes. In those few seconds, you can see him go from insecure little boy to confident man. THAT IS THE POWER OF KATE.
