Many years ago, there was a period in between Dawson’s Creek and Fringe where Joshua Jackson could not buy a break. The most notable thing he’d done during those lean years was a “Pacey-Con” video for Funny or Die (remember Funny or Die!), where he very hilariously treated San Diego’s Comic-Con like a celebration of his Dawson’s Creek character.
It was during those lean years where we wrote an obit for the actor, claiming that he’d died of neglect (this is why you’ll still occasionally see Joshua Jackson (RIP), whenever his name is mentioned in these parts). These days, of course, the man can’t leave the house without the paparazzi following him, but it’s often because he’s walking with a beautiful actress years younger than him.
After relationships with Lupita Nyong’o and a six-year marriage to Jodie Turner-Smith that ended in a bitter divorce and contentious custody battle, Jackson was most recently spotted with Simone Ashley in paparazzi photos, alas, that we do not have access to. If you don’t want to click over, they’re wearing casual summer attire, and almost holding hands. We’ll have to settle here for a red carpet photo of Ashley.
They’re a very attractive couple if, indeed, that is what they are. They are both single, and she’s certainly his type — and by that, I mean: 17 years younger than he is. But Joshua Jackson is ageless (and by that, I mean, a very handsome 47). You may recognize Ashley, of course, from Bridgerton or Sex Education.
Jackson, meanwhile, is coming off of a role in Karate Kid: Legends, where he was easily the highlight of the film, and he is currently filming a movie starring and directed by his Dawson’s castmate, Katie Holmes, after the cancellation of Doctor Odyssey after one season.
