Jennifer Lawrence Says If Fox Wants More 'X-Men,' They 'Should Be Terrified'

X-Men: Apocalypse may be the last we see of Jennifer Lawrence in this franchise, since it’s the third of her three picture contract. When asked if she’d consider returning, she says she’d love to. And then she says a bunch of things that make that sound highly unlikely.

I would love to come back. I love the fans and I love the character. But then you realize how important your year is, like how important three months out of your year is. I don’t know. I shouldn’t be that honest.

The full blue makeup is a major drawback, too. As she puts it, “You go in and you realize you’re rock bottom and like this sucks and it could not suck more.” Scaly skin and hair this bad doesn’t just happen. It takes hours and hours.

And it’s not just Lawrence that might not be returning. It’s a whole package deal.

Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking. Like, ‘Will you come back?’ ‘I dunno.’ ‘I’ll come back, if you come back.’ Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn’t come back, none of us are.

Given how unflattering the early reviews of Apocalypse have been, I’m not sure how many of us will be clamoring for new installments. They’ll keep making them, of course, but I don’t know how many people will really be disappointed to see these three move on to other projects. Though we WILL miss the press tours, that’s for sure.

What if they all go off and do better things, but agree to still give interviews and dance parties together? Deal?
