Here’s a fun game to kick off the new year: Did SNL star Marcello Hernandez get married over the holiday break? Or is he just promoting his new Netflix special, which arrives on Wednesday? Here’s the key piece of evidence, an Instagram post from this morning in which he appears to be getting ready for his wedding.
OK, it’s black-and-white, artistic, and there are no SNL co-stars in attendance? It seems very professional, plus, his bride-to-be is nowhere to be seen in the video. So, promotion for his Netflix special, right?
There is one recognizable person in the video: Marcello Hernandez’s mother, the woman helping him to get dressed. Hernandez is also in a relationship, too, with Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral, a Yale graduate architect and furniture maker. They’ve been together publicly for at least a year. They’re very cute.

But I don’t see her in the supposed wedding video, so maybe it is promotion. But here’s why I think it’s an actual wedding video. In October 2025, Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral posted — among many other photos recounting the month — this shot, which sure looks like someone shopping for a wedding dress.
Verdict: Married (possibly)
