Did Dominic Purcell Date Noah Cyrus Before Marrying Her Mom Tish?

There is big-time drama in the house of Cyrus! Since around the time Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus announced their divorce in 2022, the family has been split down the middle. Miley Cyrus is Team Mom, along with Tish’s two kids from her first marriage, Brandi, 36, and Trace, 35 (aka the lead singer of Metro Station, the geniuses behind one of my favorite songs, “Shake It”). The members of Team Dad are Noah Cyrus, 24, and Braison Cyrus, 19.

Both Tish and Billy Ray have remarried since their split. 62-year-old Billy Ray married Australian singer 34-year-old Firerose last November (that’s a 27-year age difference, FYI). Three months before that, 56-year-old Tish wed 54-year-old Prison Break actor Dominic Purcell.

Tish’s wedding is when sh** publicly hit the fan. While Miley, Trace, and Brandi attended their mom’s nuptials, Noah and Braison were a no-show. Instead, the pair documented their day on Instagram; they went to a cafe, shopped at Walmart, and, in one photo, Noah wore a T-shirt that featured her dad’s photo. Hmmm.

There were also other signs of drama. Back in 2020, Miley went on The Joe Rogan Experience, and said she loved little sis Noah’s new record, but it was “the most depressing EP you’ll ever listen to.” She also admitted she worried about Noah’s mental health. Last October, a clip from that interview found its way onto TikTok, and Noah commented “the disrespect in this video…” Then, earlier this month, when Miley won the Record of the Year Grammy for her song, “Flowers”, she thanked Trish and her sister Brandi, but left out Billy Ray and her other siblings. HMMMM.

Up until now, we did not know why there was a rift in the Cyrus family. But, earlier this week, Us Weekly published a bombshell article titled, “Did Tish Cyrus ‘Steal’ Husband Dominic Purcell from Daughter Noah?” Heh? What a twist! According to a source, “Noah was [seeing] Dominic when Tish started pursuing him,” and Tish “was aware” of the situation. They add:

“The turmoil between Noah and Tish goes far beyond [what people think],” says the source. “Noah is very distraught over Tish stealing Dominic from her.”

Holy cow! Earlier this month, Tish went on the podcast Call Her Daddy, and talked about how she and Dominic got together. She said she had a longtime crush on the actor and joked that he’d been her “hall pass” when she was married to Billy Ray. Tish claimed Dominic DMed her back in 2016, but she missed it. Then, after filing for divorce in 2022, she decided to message him back. According to Tish, the pair immediately fell head over heels; they went out to lunch, made out for three hours, and said “I love you” the very next day.

Obviously, Tish’s version of events did not include, “Oh, and I suppose he was dating my then-22-year-old daughter at the time.” Now, I was fully ready to believe this unsubstantiated rumor because I love mess (insert that one gif of Marie Kondo), but, yesterday, the Daily Mail published an EXCLUSIVE report about how the whole story is BS. Their source says:

‘Noah never dated Dominic and they were not together. She is delusional to think otherwise and is trying to create a narrative that will paint her as a victim.’

Yeesh. The insider goes on to say the allegations are “ludicrous”, Tish and Dominic are “all in with each other”, and Noah and Dominic “never even had a thing going on”. They also claim that it wasn’t Noah’s choice to skip her mom’s wedding; she wasn’t invited to begin with:

‘Noah was not invited to Tish’s wedding and she would not have come even if she was,’ the source said. ‘Tish wanted a peaceful wedding and did not want Noah to create any sort of scene.’

The source explains that the real issue between Tish and Noah is that Tish favors Miley:

‘Noah has always craved the attention because she did not get it growing up. Tish was always so Miley-sided because that is where the money was,’ they said.

‘Miley and Tish are like sisters and Noah has always been envious of this because she’s never had a connection with Tish like Miley has.’

‘Tish and Miley are both the same person and that is why they get along with each other so well, but that also leads to the rest of the family to not get along all the time. They both love hard and get very emotional when love goes off the track.’

Then, this afternoon, we got another very important development from Us Weekly. Another mystery source (probably the same one as before) insists Noah and Dominic had been seeing each other. They’d been together for “about 8 to 9 months” but had been “having issues.” When Tish “stole” Dominic, mom and daughter stopped speaking entirely and blocked each other on social media. Now that the story is public, Tish is desperately trying to spin marrying her daughter’s ex in a PR-friendly way:

“Tish is spiraling out of control and trying to figure out how to diffuse this,” the insider says, adding she is interviewing crisis management.

Last summer, when Dominic and Tish got married at Miley’s Malibu mansion, sources claimed 31-year-old Miley hired armed guards to keep Noah out of the wedding (Noah lives right down the street in a condo).

Whew! What. A. sh** show. Even if Dominic wasn’t dating Noah, the Cyrus family dynamic sounds wildly unhealthy. Either the entire clan should get their asses into therapy ASAP or they should make a reality show. I know which option my messy ass is hoping for.
