I recently binged The Rachel Zoe Project when it was added to Peacock, and there I became acquainted with a young Brad Goreski, who was then a lowly styling assistant to the titular queen. Goreski quit his very toxic workplace somewhere in the middle of the run of the show and went on to become a stylist to the stars himself, one of those stars being Demi Moore, whom he stole from Zoe. Obviously, I followed him on Instagram, and since then, I’ve been bombarded with red-carpet photos of Moore wearing glittery gowns at the Met Gala, Cannes, et cetera, all hand-picked by Goreski.

His feed is peppered with the occasional ab selfie or something with his husband, writer Gary Janetti, but it’s mostly Moore and her little dog.

The dog in question is Pilaf, a pocket-sized Chihuahua “who goes with mommy everywhere” and is affectionately referred to as “the bonsai tree of dogs,” as per Pilaf’s personal Instagram account, where she can be seen posing with the likes of Bella Hadid, Blondie, Dakota Johnson, et al. She even went on Colbert, where Moore explained that she tried to get her in the Guinness World Records for being so small.

“We looked into this because she literally is the size of a guinea pig,” Moore said. But Pilaf’s legs are “supermodel long,” so it turned out there was a shorter dog who won the title.

“She’s like my little friend, my partner, my little travel mate,” Moore has said. And she really does go everywhere. “She’s been to the French Open and the Louvre. She’s been to Broadway shows. She recently saw Tom Holland in Romeo & Juliet in London. She was quite moved. She thought the performance was extraordinary, as it was.”
