Less than three hours after US Weekly broke the news that Ben Affleck was dating the former nanny to his children, Christine Ouzounian, a representative for the Batman vs. Superman star has released a statement denying it.
The Us Weekly report cites “multiple sources,” who say that Affleck has been dating Ouzounian, who was hired as the nanny to his three children last spring. According to those sources, Ouzounian was hired during the couple’s 10-month trial separation, but was let go by Garner when she began to get “flirty” with Affleck.
The two, however, apparently didn’t stop seeing each other, and have been exchanges texts and email, and were seen together at Affleck’s apartment on July 17th.
The rep for Affleck — who got up awfully damn early this morning to release the statement — calls the allegations “garbage”:
The story is complete garbage and full of lies. You shouldn’t be able to hide behind ‘blind sources’ and attempt to destroy families going through a difficult time. The tabloid [Us Weekly] decided to construct stories in order to sell magazines. It’s like story time in kindergarten. It’s shameful and desperate.
Let us assume that sources were fabricating the story. Let us also assume that Affleck’s rep was being truthful when he said that the allegations were garbage. Putting all that aside, why would you hire this woman [see inset picture]…
… to babysit the kids of this guy:
I’m not suggesting that you should discriminate based on the level of a woman’s attractiveness (though, that is still legal), but I might be suggesting that you don’t put notorious horndog Ben Affleck in the same room with a young former sorority girl for an extended period of time during a trail separation?
Jennifer Garner must be the most trusting, secure woman in America.
