Yesterday, it was announced that Angela Bassett (a.k.a. The Hottest Chick In The Game Rocking His Chain, according to her incredibly lucky husband Courtney B. Vance) joined the cast of Black Panther. Bassett will be playing the role of Ramonda, mother to T’Challa, a.k.a. Black Panther, who made his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe earlier this summer in Captain America: Civil War and was played by Chadwick Boseman. (Although let’s be real, considering that she looks damn near the same age now as she did back in the early Nineties, Bassett could easily play his sister if she really wanted to)
This newest casting news put Black Twitter in a very good mood and inspired them to use the same hashtag that has been used for every casting announcement that is convincing them how awesome this movie is going to be: #BlackPantherSoLIT
