It’s been a long week. I deserve this and so do you.

This week sees the release of The Northman, the newest film from director Robert Eggers. Inspired by the Norse legend of Amleth, the film is a bloody Viking revenge drama that, to describe in professional critics terms, totally f**king rocks. I highly recommend you see it. The lead role is played by Sweden’s finest, Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd, who is also a producer. He’s been trying to make a Viking themed movie since 2011, so this is a big career moment for him. He’s really excellent in it and it may be an acting peak for an actor who’s often been dismissed as pretty (like, super unbelievably pretty) but not in possession of much range. Those people are wrong, obviously, but it doesn’t hurt to look at him. So, let’s just dedicate this post to appreciating the hottest of the seemingly ever-growing SkarsgÃ¥rd clan. Go on, you’ve earned it.
