Today is the birthday of Adele, who turns 32 years old. On the occasion, Adele took to Instagram to acknowledge the many birthday wishes she has received and thank the first responders. “Thank you for the birthday love,” she writes. “I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time. I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels ♥️”

I’m not sure how the illusion works, but I suspect it has something to do with the laptop next to the ring, which must be sending some kind of signal to the camera, which bounces off and reflects Adele back through the big gold ring, providing the Sarah Paulson illusion. This is really very cool. I love science. So apparently does Chrissy Teigen, who is likewise impressed with the hack. “I mean are you kidding me,” Teigen writes in the comment, clearly impressed with this amazing trick of the camera.
