Donald Trump actually managed to stay away from Twitter for a couple of days while the Michael Flynn scandal was unfolding, but now that he’s back in the White House and catching up on his stories (cable news), he’s back on Twitter. Amid the scandal surrounding Michael Flynn, Trump’s connections with Russia, and his possible involvement with Russia’s efforts to interfere with our election, Trump went back to Twitter both yesterday and this morning.
He’s not helping himself one bit.
The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington? Will these leaks be happening as I deal on N.Korea etc?

Anthony Bourdain with the quip, a reference to the impromptu National Security meeting Trump had in full view of Mar-a-Lago members and the wait staff.
Ask the busboy. I'm sure he's secure. https://t.co/sQcsi7gu91

Trump probably oughtn’t attack the media for “conspiracy theories,” either, when he’s the king of them.
The fake news media is going crazy with their conspiracy theories and blind hatred. @MSNBC & @CNN are unwatchable. @foxandfriends is great!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 15, 2017
These are news stories. Conspiracy theories are false & more like "Ted Cruz's dad was with Lee Harvey Oswald" or "vaccines cause autism" https://t.co/0Ps5pFBoU1

Then there’s this:
Crimea was TAKEN by Russia during the Obama Administration. Was Obama too soft on Russia?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 15, 2017
Seems like he might be opening himself up to attacks by Republica … oh.
Yes, he was too soft - let's take a different course together: give defensive lethal assistance to #Ukraine & keep sanctions on #Russia https://t.co/2Su2wIiyWs
— John McCain (@SenJohnMcCain) February 15, 2017
Here he is attacking the intelligence community again, and oh wait: He’s their boss!
Information is being illegally given to the failing @nytimes & @washingtonpost by the intelligence community (NSA and FBI?).Just like Russia
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 15, 2017
This is nuts. The president is attacking parts of the executive branch, over which he presides, for breaking the law. https://t.co/IjK3yuxTw6
— Bill Kristol (@BillKristol) February 15, 2017
There is also the matter that, apparently, the only time Mike Pence learns anything is when he reads it in the newspapers.
Newspapers are keeping Pence in loop. https://t.co/De8hCJMFvN

Here he is, trying to go back to the Hillary well:
This Russian connection non-sense is merely an attempt to cover-up the many mistakes made in Hillary Clinton's losing campaign.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 15, 2017
Here’s an interesting twist, however:
NYT reporter who broke Trump campaign/Russia story is same reporter who broke Clinton email server story. That's called a free & fair press. pic.twitter.com/OPzWQowKSF
— Bradd Jaffy (@BraddJaffy) February 15, 2017
Huh.
@realDonaldTrump Hillary Clinton right now. pic.twitter.com/kCcFKzgBDx
— Mikel Jollett (@Mikel_Jollett) February 15, 2017
This may be the most damning tweet:
The real scandal here is that classified information is illegally given out by "intelligence" like candy. Very un-American!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 15, 2017
As many people have pointed out, Trump is not attacking the intelligence, but the leaks, which all but confirms the intelligence itself.
You just confirmed their stories. https://t.co/RPJW6jadnI
— Gerry Duggan (@GerryDuggan) February 15, 2017
Trump is effectively confirming the accuracy of these reports with this tweet 👠https://t.co/hOCeVmne2j
— Judd Legum (@JuddLegum) February 15, 2017
Again, it's notable that he keeps confirming the validity of the leaks. https://t.co/HaFUidtb0N
— Eric Geller (@ericgeller) February 15, 2017
@realDonaldTrump is it fake news or is it a leak? Can't be both, bro.
— Justin Hendrix (@justinhendrix) February 15, 2017
Also true:
The president was fine with illegally obtained, possibly decontextualized information pre-campaign. https://t.co/cTcOUYjlEa
— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) February 15, 2017
An important reminder:
Anyway, your daily reminder that our Republican president is dumb as fuck.
