A few months ago -- following the Oscars -- Jamie Foxx and Charming Potato were on Kimmel, and began freestyle associating songs with a piano, and "Charming All Over Your Potato" was born. Kimmel and a cadre of cameos, including Olivia Munn, Miley Cyrus, and Matt Damon have now joined Jamie Foxx and Charming Potato for an amazing video that's stuffed with chives, sour cream and delicious potato goodness.

It just would have been so much more beautiful if he'd gone the whole hog and sung 'charming all ovah yoh taters....'

  • Heeeeeee. If you'd told me that I'd ever get to like the Potato so much, I would've hit you upside the head. But dammit, I like him SO MUCH. I'm not even attracted to him, I just LIKE HIM.

  • Somewhere Taylor Kitsch is just sort of sitting around not really doing anything. He might go to the gym later.

  • A. Smith

It's already stuck in my head

  • Thank you. This erased the nastiness from last night's VICE thread. Also, more Olivia Munn is always a good thing.

  • Maguita NYC

I am so surprised at Munn's likability factor! I've come to appreciate her much more ever since Newsroom.

I really can't wait for the next person to get on my nerves, for I'm so gonna straight up tell them to Channing all over my Tatums.

Already giddy at the thought of their bewildered reaction! *It doesn't take me much to enjoy life, lately.

  • Mrs. Julien

Have some Pre-Raphaelite to brighten your day -

  • Thank you! This is fantastic.

  • MsMOMO

And I... just Channing'ed'ed all OVER my Tatum. Great way to start off my work day.

I'm always fascinated watching the process of someone becoming a major movie star. Sometimes they are clearly trying so hard and fail. Sometimes it seems effortless. That Potato, he's got the charm and the right handlers. He has surrounded himself with very smart people.

One of the things that made me turn the corner on him was when he talked about his early career and the shitty movies that he did. Basically he knew that he wasn't a great actor, so he'd take tiny parts (like in Public Enemies) just so he could absorb some knowledge from serious actors/directors, or he'd take bigger parts in junkier movies so he could learn from his co-stars. It's a fascinatingly self-aware process that I absolutely respect. He knew that he got his start on his looks, but was determined not to have that be the only thing. And as it turns out, there actually is a good bit more to him than his looks.

He's still not a great actor, but I'll be damned if he hasn't evolved into a thoroughly likable one.

Plus, he and his wife are fucking adorable.

    Alright I died laughing.

  • Gabby!!!11!!

  • ElvisCostelegram

That's Olivia Munn, right? And I feel like leaving Gaby Sidibe off your list is an unworthy snub. She's pretty great in that video.

  • Yes, it's Olivia Munn.

  • NateMan

I don't want to like the guy. He just looks so vapid. And yet, he's charming and self-deprecating and obviously smarter than he looks. You clearly can't judge a book by its cover, cuz his just says "See Spot Run!" on it.

  • lowercase_ryan

all of this, plus the dude will go all out for a laugh, ex: This Is The End.

  • zeke_the_pig

100% agree with this sentiment. I thought he was a pop-up book. And that's only, like, half-right now.

  • pinkerton80

    But...that's not Olivia Wilde!

  • annie

    That's what I said!

  • MrsAtaxxia

I words. This is just the most beautiful thing. Happy hump day from Charming Potato indeed.
