That's upsetting, considering how absolutely hilarious the Twitter was

A "Half-Clava".
Very Jaunty.
FOR MURDER!!!

After I heard about that CBS would be coming out with this, I expected it wouldn't be very good. If only because it should be on HBO or another channel where they wouldn't have to use "$#*!" in the title. But I still had hope, because I like the Twitter feed. And honestly, I'm really easy to amuse (e.g., I like Better With You). But this show sucked so badly I gave up exactly half way through, and I'd only laughed twice.
It's a shame Peter Boyle is dead. I bet he would have been better in the father role than Shatner.

Odnon, what the eff are you EVEN TALKING ABOUT?!
Hee hee hee hee!
Srsly, though, half-clavas ARE very jaunty. ....FOR MURDER.

I gave it 5 minutes, lasted 3. Brutally bad.

It is kinda freakin' me right the fuck out that the older both Shatner and my mother get, the closer they are getting to looking like fraternal twins.
Seriousfuckingly.
*to the header pic*
Stop looking at me like that, Shat!
SEE! I changed your freakin' air-conditioner filter! Yeah, yeah, I KNOW I was supposed to do it last month... I bought those freakin' $30 filters for a freakin' reason (hint: they last longer.)
I'm SORRY I've recently had to work 60+hour weeks comprised of 12-hour days and a little more.
It's not my fucking fault my dumb-as-fuck 20-something co-workers can't handle the personal shitholes they dug for themselves and I get stuck, unexpectedly, covering their asses. I need MY sleep just as much as you need yours, so you'll just have to deal with the little shit falling behind for awhile.
*ahem*
Um, sorry.
Carry on....

Disclaimer:
I would NEVER talk to my mother that way.
But The Shat... he knows Judo, plus he was The Kirk Unit. HE can handle a bit of a rant.

I guess raising horses costs a lot, huh Bill? Only reason I can see for this steaming pile of offal.

So what you're saying is that we have the next Two And A Half Homes Improved By The Lovable Raymond According To Jim on our hands for the next ten years?
I agree it was not well-written at all, although I thought the Shat did the best anyone could expect of him with it.

This is going to outrun 2 and 1/2 men isn't it? Fuck our collective lives.

The Ben Folds thing breaks my precious little heart. I'll forgive him if he needs chemotherapy money for his mother or puppies or something and that's why he did it, but...Ugh.
I still love you, Ben.

I read Justin Halpern's book of the same name. I laughed so hard little pee droplets made me dash to the bathroom, giggling the entire way. I was a little leery of Shatner being cast as the dad, since he doesn't really have the "crustiness" that seemed to come across in the book.
I was able to watch this show for a total of 2 minutes before I wanted to shoot somebody.
Seriously, this would have been much better as a single camera comedy without the laugh track and without the constant need for stupid, stupid jokes. Halpern's book actually has a lot of heart and affection for his dad, interspersed with the type of harsh realism and truth that only a boy's father can give him, and incidentally makes it so freaking funny.
This show has none of that.

This hasn't been cancelled yet?
^&%$#@!
Posted by: lil_a at October 1, 2010 6:40 PM
I can't believe that CBS actually cancelled shows like New adventures of old Christine and Gary unmarried and replaced them with this $h*!.
I want the 20 minutes back I spent watching it.
