The 5 Most Popular Harry Hanrahan Videos of 2010

One of the best things about 2010 as far as Pajiba goes was the emergence of our video editor, Harry Hanrahan, who came to us over a year ago with a video he had created — Wall-E the Cannibal Years — that was inspired by the comments section. Since that time, we have introduced one of Harry Hanrahan’s brilliant video edits about once a month, some of which were — again — inspired by the site’s readers, like the most recent Nic Cage video, and they have been hugely popular.

In fact, Harry’s videos have spread so widely across the Internet that, on more than a few occasions this year, someone in the real world would ask me if I’d seen a particular video that they had no idea had been introduced initially on this site. In fact, two of the targets of his videos — Nic Cage and Julianne Moore — have actually seen the videos and responded to them in the press.

It’s been a huge pleasure to have been a part of the success of those videos, and an honest to God honor to be associated with Harry, who literally spends hundreds of hours on these videos with no motive beyond getting them seen by as many people as possible. Maybe we can get a few more to see them here.

Here now are the five most popular of Harry Hanrahan’s creations in 2010.

5. The 100 Greatest Quotes from “The Wire” (765,000 views)

4. Nicolas Cage Losing His Shit (1.4 million views)

3. The 100 Cheesiest Movie Lines of All Time (2.9 million views)

2. The 100 Greatest Movie Insults of All Time (4.6 million views)

1. 160 Greatest Arnold Schwarzenegger Quotes (4.8 million views)

"Sit your five dollar ass down before I make change!" I have no idea what that means, but I plan on using it as often as possible. Will there be a vid of best TV insults? It's easy to insult when you curse up a storm; without the swears people have to get more creative. I nominate this gem from Firefly:

"I think he's a psychotic lowlife."
"And I think calling him that is an insult to the psychotic lowlife community." (a vast improvement to Curtis' "stupid" insult up there).

Also: "If they've got brains and guns at all..." "They've got guns."

"I'm guessing you weren't burdened with an overabundance of schooling."

"I don't like the idea of someone hearing what I'm thinkin'." "NO ONE likes the idea of hearing what you're thinking."

OK, I'll stop now. Watched a lot of Firefly this weekend.

Well deserved views, those are some amazing videos. Especially the Arnold and Nicolas ones.

Oooh. Can someone post a link to Nicholas Cage's and Julianne Moore's reactions to their video clips? I'm super curious to find out what they said.

Oh, and thanks, hh, for sharing your awesomeness with us!

I have shared that Nic Cage video with everyone in my family. It's the gift that keeps on giving. Seriously, I've watched it countless times and I still start giggling uncontrollably when he starts yelling "I'm a vampire! I'm a vampire!"

Stay gold, hh.

Death Race: "Fuck with me, and we'll see who shits on the sidewalk"
My friends and I did a collective "What the fuck does that mean?" in the theatre after that line.
I'm still not sure

What about the insult battle between Banning and Rufio in "Hook"?

That whole thing is full of gems!

You are fart factory, Slug-slimed, sack-of-rat-guts-in-cat-vomit, cheesy, scab-picked, pimple-squeezing finger bandage. A week old maggot burger with everything on it and flies on the side!

Bangerang, Rufio!

It's time for Harry to do an obnoxious Boston accent montage.

Love the Monty Python insult, was waiting for that one the whole way. But what about in Back to the Future III?? "Especially not some booted up egg-sucking gutter trash" Reckon it should have got a mention
