  • TheOriginalMRod

Okay Julia Roberts has a best actress award... That happened. Do these things really mean anything anymore and does anyone really care?

  • Taylor Kitsch could have a shot at the veiniest forear-... No, wait. Sorry, that's Renner's.

  • Daria Bee

Bypassing "John Carter" because of an idiotic marketing campaign on Disney's part would be foolish. It is a amazingly gorgeous adventure epic with a title character beautifully portrayed by Taylor Kitsch and featuring state-of-the-art animation. Millions of fans worldwide adored this film in theaters and far more than that on DVD. The Oscars usually skip over action/adventure performances, of course, but the costuming, directing, editing, sound editing and score definitely deserve the Academy's consideration.

  • bbmcrae

Andrew Stanton, ladies and gentlemen! Give it up!

  • Johnnyboy

Gotta give props to Abe/Vamp Hunter. It already cleaned up in the category of movie poster awards ... or the MovPosties as we in the know like to call them!!!

  • Smitty

Haven't seen Flight, but I'm sure Cloud Atlas is better than most of the films that will actually get nominated. Also, I'm kinda surprised the Oogieloves producers still have enough money left to take out an ad...

  • Sara_Tonin00

Michael Chabon. Michael Chabon worked on John Carter? hmm.

Is there a Pajiba review up for On the Road yet? I disliked the book - ok, I was probably too old when I read it, but one of the things I loved about the NY Times review was saying that because the female characters were actually fleshed out on screen, given depth by camera time and performance, that the male protagonists looked like even bigger dicks (which is pretty much covers what I most disliked about the book).

    Um-kay.

  • NoPantsMcLane

Taylor Kitch is a lock for best actor. He gave such a raw and emotional performance as John Carter. When i watched that movie all i saw was John Carter, because Taylor was just lost in the character. I heard he refused to be addressed as Taylor on set, he only responded to John Carted. Just the fact that he even went to mars to research the role should tell you what a fantastic method actor this man is. Just give him the award now. No need to nominate anyone else.

  • Meh. He's no Noah Wyle. Now that's a John Carter we can believe in.

  • PDamian

I don't think nominations for Flight are that farfetched. Not the greatest film ever, but not too shabby, either, and Denzel and John Goodman were pretty damn good in it. But John Carter and Breaking Dawn? Yeesh -- although I'd be surprised if John Carter didn't get a few noms for special effects.

  • To be fair, Kristen Stewart is really good in On the Road. She doesn't have a shot in hell, but it's not a misplaced campaign effort. Compare that to Oogieloves for Costume Design.

  • TheDeadBurger

Pretty much everyone in On the Road is at least very good. Hedlund especially. Unfortunately, the many strong performances are stuck in a rather mediocre film.

  • Michelle

Oh Tim Riggins. You surely can't believe you deserve any sort of award for.. well, anything you did this year.

  • jM

How did Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter win an award for best poster design when it's a rip-off of the Sweeny Todd poster?

  • I enjoyed John Carter but COME. ON. Seriously?!?!?

  • This can not be real. Oh my goat.

  • mikeymotorcykey

I'm so confused too haha for each one i've actually seen/heard consideration about (e.g. Flight) there's one that i would hope a studio would be smart enough to never waste money on ads for (oogieloves)

  • Garret Hedlund was good in On the Road, maybe not the best movie but his performance was good.

  • lowercase_ryan

I don't understand...are these real? Am I missing the sarcasm font? I'm so confused...

  • BWeaves

Yeah, I wasn't sure if they were for real, either.

  • LinaBeana

    Not Pajiba's greatest moment.

  • pajiba

    Yes. Yes they are real.

  • dizzylucy

Wow. I thought for sure it was all a joke. A sick, twisted, hilarious joke.

  • And they are spectacular ... (ly) delusional.

  • K

I'm pretty sure someone on ONTD has been making most of these for years. Just saying: http://ohnotheydidnt.livejourn...

  • The Oogieloves one can't be real. Please tell me that one is a joke. Dustin, please. Please.

  • pajiba

I assure you they are all real; my photoshop skills do not extend that far.

  • Guest

omg lol. you done goofed, pajiba. you done goofed.

  • I'm sure you didn't, but do you have proof this wasn't created as a joke by someone else online? I can't live the rest of my life with this doubt in my mind.

  • Claus

I can confirm that trailers for this film, at least, do exist. I have seen them with my own eyes.

  • lowercase_ryan

    So with you on this.
